Migrant Voices is a fully volunteer-run organization. As a small Charity, we are led by an Executive Committee and a Board of Advisors who helps the committee when they are in doubt.

The term of each committee is 2 years. This committee is a transition committee until confirmation during our next AGM in June 2010.
Shaun Teo, President
Shaun has been serving on the committee of Migrant Voices since 2006, first as our Treasurer, and then President since 2008. Together with Objectifs and Phish Communications, he worked to revive InsideOut II for the Month of Photography Asia in 2009. He also plays a supporting role, getting fundraising and arranging the logistics for most of our other projects. His current projects include the Migration Film Festival and InsideOut III. He is also the Artistic Director for Vox Camerata.
Joey Chin, Secretary
Joey has been involved with Migrant Voices since 2007 as a volunteer and was elected to be Secretary in 2008. She was a mentor for the Creative Writing workshops and is currently leading Grass Day Out and is also coordinating the Migration Film Festival.
Sha Najak, Outreach & Programming
Sha was the main coordinator for Migrant Voices' first project, the Migrant Voices CD Project. She was then appointed Migrant Voices' first President and led Migrant Voices through its early years, spearheading numerous projects and collaborations including Forum Theatre with Dramabox, exhibitions such as Integrate. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Art Therapy at Lasalle and an employee with Transient Workers Count Too.
Jolovan Wham, Programming
Jolovan has been involved with Migrant Voices since 2005 for the CD project that started it all. He is currently the Executive Director for the Humanitarian Organization for Migrant Economics (HOME) and helps Migrant Voices keep in touch with the issues. He also helps Migrant Voices look for opportunities and projects. He is currently developing School Programmes for Migrant Voices.
Prashant Somosundram, Public Relations
Prashant started with Migrant Voices as one of the group coordinators for the Migrant Voices CD Project. He was elected as an Ordinary Committee Member and has been assisting in Public and Press Relations. He is one of the coordinators for the Oral History Project and spearheads our academic and research initiatives. He is also an EXCO member for Action for Aids.
Tai Shuxia, Projects
Shuxia started volunteering with Migrant Voices since 2007 as the production coordinator for Tales Within Borders. When she came back to Singapore in 2009, she took on the role of Project Coordinator for the Migrant Tales exhibition. Apart from Migrant Voices, Shuxia teaches English to Chinese workers at Healthserve, and volunteers actively with Migrant Worker Organizations.
Shengpei Ong, Project Manager (Oral History Archive)
Shengpei started volunteering for Migrant Voices in 2008 as the Project Manager for the Oral History Archive. He lead a team of almost 30 people through unchartered territory and saw through the execution of the Migrant Tales Exhibition. He currently oversees the continuation of the project.
Jenny Chan, Projects
Jenny started volunteering with Migrant Voices as part of the team driving the Oral History Project and was involved with interviewing the Chinese workers. She also produced "Confluence of Lands" for the Migrant Tales exhibiton.
Ummairoh, Honorary Committee Member
Ummairoh has been involved with Migrant Voices since 2007 where she was the lead actress for Blinded, Binded and Trapped in Love. She has since participated in many of our programmes, and has been actively involved in coordinating with her community to be involved in our activities. She is also the Secretary of the Indo-Family Network.
