3-4 May 2008
Post Museum Show Room

Curated by Sha Najak and Susy Bungsu

INTEGRATE brought together a burst of flavours from across Asia through the lives of migrants in Singapore. First showcased in 2006 at The Substation and Timbre, this was the second time Migrant Voices presented INTEGRATE, which was held at Post-Museum.

With the partners, Tranisent Workers Count Too (TWC2) and the Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME), as part of the Labour Day celebrations for 2008, Migrant Voices presented works done largely by work-permit holders.

The exhibition featured drawings and paintings from the Grass Day Out sessions as well as writings from the Creative Writing Workshops facilitated by Joey Chin, Ng Yi-Sheng, Dave Chua and Tessa Wong for 2 months.

As part of the programme to commemorate Labour Day, there were performances. There was a play staged by Three Monkeys Productions called "Use", music performances by the residents of the HOME shelters, talkback sessions with social workers working with migrant, and poetry reading sessions.
